Twee weken geleden werden we door de autoverhuurder meewarig aangekeken toen we meldden dat we ook naar Manchester gingen, en vandaag hebben we gezien waar die blik vandaan kwam. Manchester heeft een wat grauwe kantoor impressie op ons achter gelaten en het was lastig om er goede hoogtepunten te scoren. Uiteindelijk bestond het programma vandaag uit de John Rylands Library (fraaie oude Universiteits bibliotheek), het Manchester Museum (Universiteits collectie, leuk voor scholieren) en de Manchester Art Gallery (prima). Daarbuiten natuurlijk de onvermijdelijke koffie (Starbucks) en lunch (Chinees in Chinatown, top). Ook op transportgebied waren we wel uitgeavonturierd dus dat heeft volledig per Uber plaats gevonden. Na het inleveren van de auto is er nu rust. Morgenochtend na het ontbijt nemen we de Uber naar de luchthaven en vliegen we naar Amsterdam.
